The Syd Lawrence 40 Over Cup is officially underway and what a start it’s been!

On Sunday 3rd May, the first round of fixtures took place, bringing together clubs from across the country in a competition designed to unite cricket clubs and cultures across the UK.
This is more than just a tournament, it’s a celebration of community, identity and the power of the game to bring people together.

Round 1 Results:
✔️ Crouch End CC progress after a strong performance against Cure CC
✔️ Cavaliers & Carrington CC secure their place in the next round with victory over Leicester Caribbean CC

Two competitive fixtures, setting the tone for what promises to be a high-quality and meaningful competition as teams now look ahead to the next stages

Played in honour of the great Syd Lawrence the first Black British man to represent England, this competition continues to build a legacy that goes beyond cricket, creating opportunities and visibility for clubs and communities across the UK

With more 40-over fixtures to come in the coming weeks, the journey is only just beginning and coming soon is the Syd Lawrence T20 Festival Series this June bringing a vibrant, festival-style format to communities nationwide.
